In Cloppenburg, another Knauber <\/a>LNG filling station, made by Noordtec, was commissioned last week.<\/p>\n

To prepare for filling with LNG and to check the system, the tank was first filled with liquid nitrogen. The nitrogen was discharged back into the atmosphere via a blower once the tank had cooled down. Since our air consists of 78% nitrogen, this can be done without any issue. This procedure is not only used to test the system’s functions, but is also important to prepare the system for the cold -162\u00b0C temperature of the LNG, so that the cooled system can then be filled for official operation.<\/p>\n
