In accordance with Section 9 (2) EEG, EEG systems with an output of less than 100 kWp that are commissioned <strong>from February 25, 2025<\/strong> must initially be <strong>throttled to 60 percent feed-in power <\/strong>(this refers to your module output in kWp)    <strong>up to one control box incl. intelligent metering system (smart meter) <\/strong>  is installed.<\/p>\n<p>The Solar Peak Act is intended to protect the public electricity grid from overloads and make them &#8220;grid-friendly&#8221; with an energy management system. This means that the law ensures that PV systems do not overload the grid, but help to stabilize it. <\/p>\n<p><strong>The installation of the control box<\/strong> (incl. smart metering system, if not already available) is carried out by your metering point operator, which is usually your network operator, e.g. EWE-Netz. After installation of the control box and a <strong>final functional test <\/strong>by the metering point operator (repeated annually), the feed-in is switched to 100 percent. <strong>No more feed-in remuneration in the event of<\/strong> <strong>negative electricity prices<\/strong>: If exchange electricity prices slip into negative territory, there will no longer be any remuneration for electricity fed into the grid (smart meter required). <strong>Easier direct marketing<\/strong>: Smaller PV systems (under 100 kWp) will be able to sell their electricity on the exchange more easily in future without being obliged to market it directly.  <\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">14a Controllable consumption devices <\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #333333;\">EnWG regulations of the Federal Network Agency<br \/><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><br \/><\/span><\/strong><strong>Background: <\/strong>With the provisions of Section 14a EnWG, the Federal Network Agency wants to create the possibility of temporarily &#8220;dimming&#8221; the output of so-called controllable consumption devices in order to create time for necessary grid upgrading measures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Which appliances count as controllable consumption devices?<br \/><\/strong>Controllable loads that <strong><u>from 01.01.2024<\/u><\/strong> put into operation with a grid connection power &gt; 4.2 kW, such as<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Electricity storage<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Charging devices<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Heat pumps incl. additional devices <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Systems for room cooling<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>With exceptions, e.g. air conditioning systems in pharmacies for medicines, public authorities and companies with &#8220;critical infrastructure&#8221;: police, fire department, armed forces, hospitals, refrigeration for abattoirs, etc. (a separate application must be submitted for this).  <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What does that mean?<br \/><\/strong>This means that the power of your appliance may be reduced by the grid operator in the event of a bottleneck situation in the power grid (to a maximum of 2 hours per day).
