On 6 October, hydrogen was the main topic at the Ammerland Vocational School. The event in Rostrup was part of the “Hydrogen in Mobility” roadshow organised by the energy service provider EWE and the Ammerland District.

The presentations focused on possible applications of hydrogen in freight transport, private transport and public transport. Around 60 representatives from companies and other interested participants attended the event.

The event also addressed the infrastructure required for the production, transport and storage of hydrogen.

Noordtec was represented by Olaf Schröder. In his presentation, he explained the technical and logistical requirements that need to be considered when planning hydrogen infrastructure. These include the provision of hydrogen, the required redundancy and the respective refuelling profile.

As project requirements vary according to the location and intended application, each system is designed on the basis of an individual needs assessment.

The event provided an opportunity to discuss current applications, technical requirements and the development of hydrogen infrastructure.
